How To Appeal a Ban

Have you been banned from one of our NRd servers? If you have, it's most likely that you were banned for hacking or breaking the servers rules but if you believe that you are innocent, this is the time to prove it.

What is a ban appeal?
A ban appeal is where you prove your innocence. Ban appeals are made public in this forum; please do not bother any server/forum guards or administrators about the matter privately as we already have a lot to think about.

How do I start my ban appeal?
Simply make a topic concerning your ban appeal including your IGN in the title

This makes it easier for both yourself and the moderators/administrators to reply to your appeal. After listing that information, include any additional comments to make a case for yourself. This is one of two sections of great importance of your appeal. The comments give us a chance to see it from your side and for you to make a case for yourself. An effective comment section would include the following:


•What you think you were banned for and why you think it was ill-given.

•Any proof or background history with NRd that may help your credibility.

•A respectable manner; retaining a civil attitude really helps in your case.


After that, if no demo against you is posted by the admin who issued the ban is posted, you should be unbanned within a few days although time may vary case to case. If a demo does come up however, the second part of your appeal initiates, the actual appeal itself.

First read any comments that the moderator who came up with the demo had on the ban. This includes their opinions, any pieces of evidence and their side on the matter. The next step would be to watch the demo itself as to see it from the admin's viewpoint. Finally, after reviewing the demo, make your case. Try to counter the admin's points and cases against you with legitimate and logical cases and explanations. Use your imagination but stay realistic. Most importantly, while making your case against the moderator, please do so in a civil manner whether you are angry or not. Be polite due to the fact that the admin is taking time out of his/her day to help get the issue resolved. If you flame/rage/curse at the admin, you can expect the same in return.

Finally, wait for the word of a high-up admin. Chances are that if you took the time to register on our forums and go through this entire process, you'll most likely be unbanned. IF, however, you are deemed hacking after all is said and done, sorry but chances are that if you could not convince the admins, you were probably hacking/cheating. If this is the case, there is one other way to get unbanned which follows below.

Un-ban Fee
Players who remain accused of hacking even after the appeal may be unbanned by paying a fee of $30 but if this is a one-time offer. If you are caught hacking again, sorry but there would be no un-ban fee available for you.
